About the event
India is undergoing rapid urban transformation and an unprecedented climate crisis. While cities continue to expand so does the pressure on already stressed resources thus exacerbating the impact of climate shocks and stressors.
Urban resilience is the capacity of individuals, communities, businesses, and systems to resist, recover, and adapt towards these climate shocks. Planning for a resilient urban future requires an integrated approach while working on solutions that are inclusive, sustainable, scalable, and address climate challenges faced by the most marginalized and vulnerable communities.

Keeping the above in mind, Earth Exponential (an initiative by the India Climate Collaborative) is hosting a virtual event that highlights the impact of climate change on urban areas and communities while spotlighting integrated solutions being undertaken to enhance urban resilience. Through a panel discussion and presentations by diverse stakeholders, we aim to spotlight key themes, challenges, and solutions within the ecosystem.
Insights
The ICC’s Earth Exponential team brought together CSR funders, CSO partners, think tanks, and other key stakeholders to deliberate on urban resilience challenges, frameworks, and key solutions. Two such solutions were spotlighted on key themes of waste management and resilience of urban street vendors. By fostering knowledge-sharing and collaboration, the session promoted inclusive, sustainable, and community-centered approaches to building resilient cities.
