About the event

Climate impacts are accelerating, causing severe consequences. India has faced extreme heat waves, intense flooding, and increasing drought and disease. Reducing emissions is not enough; we must also protect lives and livelihoods through strategic frameworks, policies, and locally-led adaptation efforts.

This unique convening will gather leaders from various sectors, focusing on the role of philanthropy in climate adaptation research, planning, and implementation. Participants will help shape action tracks on key issues.

Please refer to the draft agenda below for details on plenary and working group themes, including heat stress, climate and health, and food systems. Additional sectors such as water and infrastructure adaptation will be addressed in a subsequent summit anticipated in 2025.
